PVC tablecloths are a practical choice as they will protect your furniture from spills and everyday wear and tear. They’re great because there’s no washing required – you simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth.
You can use them indoors and out, though beware of leaving them in hot sunshine as this may cause them to warp.
Oilcloth vs PVC
We are often asked about the difference between oilcloth and PVC. Plastic and PVC tablecloths are 100% plastic and are usually cheaper than oilcloth. This is because oilcloth tablecloths are made from 100% cotton coated with PVC.
There’s little difference between the two – both are hard-wearing and long-lasting, but you will find that the oilcloth tablecloths will drape more naturally over the edges of the table.
