If you want to protect your kitchen or dining table from burns and scratches, it’s a good idea to invest in a heat-resistant table protector.
A heat-resistant table protector will add another level of guard to your table, helping to reduce the likelihood of marks from everyday use. They’re good for looking after your table during mealtimes but also whenever you use your table for work or homework when papers, pens and laptops could cause damage.
You can leave your table protector on at all times, covered by a tablecloth, or you can remove it whenever you’re not using the table. We recommend that table protectors are delivered in a robust cardboard roll, so you can simply roll it up and store in a kitchen cupboard when not in use.
Using your table protector to prevent burns
While a table protector will shield your table from very high temperatures (up to 100°C with the heavy-duty table protector and 80°C with the white luxury table protector) you should not place hot objects directly onto it, and neither should you place hot objects directly onto your wipe clean tablecloth, if that’s what you’re using to cover your table protector. Always use heat resistant table mats or trivets for hot plates or very warm serving dishes
What are table protectors made from?
You can choose from two different types of table protector here at Wipe Easy Tablecloths. For a heavy-duty solution, take a look at our brown or cream heavy-duty table protectors. These are 100% PVC with a non-woven felt polyester backing and look like leather. They’re wipe clean and heat resistant to 100°c.
For a more lightweight option, our Luxury Table Protector will be perfect. It’s 2.8mm thick and heat resistant to 80°C. It’s also easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth.
