DOMESTIC GODDESS

We have all been spending so much of our lives at home and when time allows, we have been making our houses feel homely. Maybe you’ve read our Spring Cleaning Tips and spent time giving your house a top to bottom clean. Or perhaps you have enjoyed spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals.

With restrictions gradually lifting and we are now able to socialise outside our homes, the temperature can still be unpredictable, so it is worth planning hearty meals for those first small gatherings in our gardens.

Keeping it simple with easy meals like casseroles and pies that can be made in advance and reheated, ensures that you can spend more time with your guests and not be hidden away in the kitchen missing out on all the conversation!

I cooked up a hearty Shepherd’s Pie topped with a heavenly mash made with lashings of grated mature cheddar and popped it in the oven until the top became a beautiful golden brown. Served with a fresh green salad, it went down a treat and I caught up with all the gossip!
