Plastic tablecloths are 100% plastic whereas an oilcloth tablecloth is made from linen which is coated with plastic. Plastic tablecloths and oilcloth tablecloths are equally durable although the corners and edges of plastic tablecloths will be slightly stiffer. Neither plastic or oilcloth tablecloths are heat resistant and you’ll need to be careful as strong substances such as ketchup and Biro pen can leave a permanent stain.
