Hemmed oilcloth tablecloths certainly do look fabulous, with the cotton edging giving a neat ‘finished’ look.
We can add a cotton hem, also known as bias binding, to any oilcloth or Teflon-coated design available at Wipe Easy Tablecloths. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to add a hem to a PVC tablecloth as this is a non-textile.
Choice of colours
When you opt for a wipe clean tablecloth with a hem, we will choose a colour which suits the chosen design. If you have a particular colour in mind, however, please do let us know before your order is processed as we will be happy to accommodate your request.
Is a hem necessary?
No, you don’t need a hem as your oilcloth or Teflon-coated tablecloth will not fray. The hemming service is an optional extra because some customers simply prefer the look of the tablecloth with a hem. It’s a completely personal choice.

Parasol holes
If you plan to use your tablecloth outdoors, we can cut a neat hole to accommodate a parasol. You can have the hole left plain or have it rimmed with a silver or gold toned ring.
Velcro seams
Again, if you plan to use your tablecloth outdoors with a parasol, then a neat Velcro seam can be added so you don’t have to lift your parasol out of its hole every time you want to add or remove the tablecloth.
Rounded edges
All of our tablecloths come with right-angled corners. However, if you have an oval or rectangular table and would prefer to have rounded corners, that’s not a problem, simply choose that option in the ‘optional extras’ box before placing your order.
